Virtuosity and Poetic Expression on Six Strings

On May 17, 2026, the Hague Guitar Series proudly presents internationally acclaimed guitarist Campbell Diamond in a special solo recital at the Oud-Katholieke Kerk in The Hague.

For this occasion, Diamond offers a powerful and poetic programme featuring works by some of the great composers of the guitar repertoire. Let yourself be drawn in by the lyrical elegance of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, the emotional intensity of Hans Werner Henze, and the Spanish majesty of Joaquín Rodrigo. In Diamond’s hands, these works gain new vitality, striking a perfect balance between technical brilliance and imaginative expression.

Originally from Canberra, Australia and now based in Linz, Austria – where he serves as Professor of Guitar at the Anton Bruckner University – Campbell Diamond has established himself as one of the foremost guitarists of his generation. His remarkable career includes over 30 prizes at international competitions, including first prizes at Forum Gitarre Wien and the Koblenz International Guitar Competition.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear an artist whose playing is as profound as it is dazzling, in a programme that is both timeless and deeply moving.
