The Hague Guitar Society promotes and supports classical guitar education and concerts in The Hague and surrounding areas. What began as a small-scale concert series has grown into a wide range of activities that not only bring music to the community but also actively engage people from diverse backgrounds in culture.
The Foundation fosters cultural participation and musical development through concert series, educational projects, and accessible initiatives such as the Hallo Gitaar workshop. A major annual highlight is the Gitaar aan de Sluis Festival, a multi-day event that blends classical guitar music with community encounters, education, and performance opportunities for young talent.
In addition, the foundation collaborates with the Royal Conservatoire and hosts the Leidschendam-Voorburg Guitar Ensemble, providing a space for local amateur musicians to make music together. In this way, the organization connects people through music and actively contributes to an accessible and vibrant cultural landscape. The Hague Guitar Society works closely with local partners and dedicated musicians, and is powered by a small team of professionals and volunteers.
