“Romantic music on the guitar” Leading virtuoso guitarist Anton Baranov is coming to The Hague for a recital at the Haagse Gitaar Serie. On Sunday 5 November, the doors of the Waalse Kerk will open at 15:30, with the concert starting at 16:00!
Anton Baranov, winner of both the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America ánd the JoAnn Guitar Concerto competition, prepares a beautiful programme with music by Mertz, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, (yes! On the guitar) and Paganini. He puts a focus on music from the Romantic period and thus will also play on a special instrument from that period.

The Hague Guitar Society (founded in 2018) is a non-profit organisation that organizes, stimulates and supports the classical guitar education and performance in The Hague and surroundings. The Foundation is an umbrella organization with the aim to realize activities in which the classical guitar (in the broadest sense of the word) is central – concerts, workshops, lectures, festivals, and educational projects for the younger generations.
